Bubble Witch 3 Saga Review
Bubble Witch 3 Saga is a free mobile video game released in 2017 and published by King where fairy tale meets adventure. The interface of the game is simple, and the gaming procedure is even easier. Moreover, the characters of the game are cute and colourful, like Disney movies.
The plotline of the game is exactly what you would expect in one of the modern fairy tales – except a good witch Stella saves the day here instead of a white knight. Wilbur, the mischievous cat, has kidnapped the Fairy Queen and destroyed Stella’s house.
So now she has to engage in bubble shooting matches all across the realm with her feline friends Nero and Violet. The final goal is to save the Queen, protect the land and rebuild her house. The game is fun and quite addictive in a nice way.
Much like the earlier versions, Bubble Witch 3 Saga is also about shooting bubbles with the right aim. Each stage has a specific task to accomplish like freeing the owls or ghosts, which can be unlocked by clearing the bubbles. To clear the bubbles on the screen, the player has to match 3 similar coloured ones, and they will disappear. In some special tasks, the player has to shoot fairy bubbles at Wilbur to drain his black magic energy. The stars earned in each stage will amount up to fairy dust needed to rebuild Stella’s house. Players can get up to 3 stars in each stage.
The graphics and sounds are more colourful and brighter than the earlier versions. The features of the characters like Stella, Wilbur, Nero and Violet has been evolved. It has the new aiming line for shooting the bubbles with more accuracy. You can also build the house for Stella in a customised manner when you have enough fairy dust. It has a better narrative of the story and good interpretation of magical sounds.
Replay value 7/10
The tasks to be completed are more or less same, which is bursting a lot of bubbles along the way to get to free the Fairy Queen and rebuild Stella’s house. However, for those who take to it, it can be fun second or third time around too.
To shoot the bubbles, you need to drag it on the screen, place the aiming line right on the target and release the finger for the bubble to land where you want it to. The game is basically tap-and-drag in most places.
Bubble Witch 3 Saga is a good game to play on the go, or when you have some absolutely free time to kill. With a super easy ‘how to play’ and very little in-app purchase requirements, it will cost you little money and time to go up the levels. However, it can get addictive if you are spending too much time on it. Otherwise, it is a fun and frilly game with an achievable goal.
